Welcome to Black Sheep Trading Ltd. By accessing or using our website and purchasing our products, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. General

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made from Black Sheep Trading Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent/guardian to make purchases.

2. Product Information

We do our best to ensure all product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate.
Occasionally, minor variations in colour, features, or specifications may occur due to manufacturing updates or display differences.

If any product information is incorrect, we will work with you to find a fair solution under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

3. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are in NZD and include GST unless stated otherwise.

  • Payments must be made in full at checkout unless a deposit option is provided.

  • We accept major payment methods including credit/debit cards, Afterpay, Laybuy, and bank transfers (where available).

  • If a pricing error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the order — you will be contacted immediately.

4. Orders & Availability

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation. This does not guarantee product availability.
If an item is out of stock or delayed, we will contact you with options, including:

  • Waiting for restock

  • Changing to another model

  • Cancelling the order with a full refund

Pre-orders and special-order items may have extended lead times.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders quickly, and shipping times vary by courier and location.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.

Once an order is collected by the courier, responsibility for transport lies with the carrier.
Please inspect your parcel upon delivery — if damaged, sign as "DAMAGED" and contact us immediately.

6. Returns, Repairs & Refunds

Your rights are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).

You may be entitled to:

  • A repair

  • A replacement

  • A refund (in specific circumstances)

This applies only to products with genuine faults, defects, or issues covered under the CGA.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect selection

  • Damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, modifications, or normal wear and tear

7. Warranty

Most products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty coverage varies by brand and product type.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse or improper use

  • Water damage (unless rated for such use)

  • Wear and tear

  • Modified or altered products

  • Commercial misuse unless specified

Warranty claims must be assessed by our team or the manufacturer before approval.

8. Risk & Liability

Once your order is delivered to the address you provide or collected by you, responsibility for the product passes to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, supply chain issues, or events outside our control.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act always apply.

9. Safety & Use

Many of our products — especially electric bikes, scooters, and off-road equipment — require responsible use.

By purchasing, you agree to:

  • Follow local laws and regulations

  • Wear appropriate safety gear

  • Use the product in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

We are not responsible for any injury, damage, or fines resulting from improper or illegal use.
